Peggy Gautreau, CNM

Midwives Hammond | Midwife Hammond   Peggy Gautreau, CNM, originally joined North Oaks Obstetrics and Gynecology in February of 2006. As part of her Nurse Midwifery training, Peggy spent the previous two years completing her clinical training with the practice so it was a natural fit that upon graduation from the Institute of Midwifery Women and Health in Philadelphia PA the Peggy would join our practice as a full time Certified Nurse Midwife. Her desire to care for mother and baby through pregnancy and birth and her love of educating and inspiring women are evident in her daily interaction with her patients.

Peggy started her nursing career as an Emergency Nurse at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. During her 8 years at Charity, Peggy was promoted to Emergency Room Supervisor, the youngest nurse to every hold that position.

Prior to the birth of her second son, Peggy took an extended maternity leave and rejoined our practice in September of 2010. While motherhood is a top priority, Peggy's heart has always been with her patients at North Oaks Ob-GYN. It is with great excitement that all of us welcome her back!
