William Black, MD


  Obstetrician Gynecologists Hammond | Dr. Bill Black, M.D.   After completing 12 years of training with LSU, capped off as the Chief Resident of OB/GYN, Dr. Bill Black arrived in Hammond to help establish North Oaks Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1978. Dr. Black has served Tangipahoa, St. Tammany and Livingston communities for over 30 years. He has held leadership roles in numerous professional, hospital, community and academic organizations, including Chief of Staff for North Oaks Health Systems, President of Louisiana Maternal Child Health Coalition and Louisiana Advisory Council Member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The New Orleans Magazine and Louisiana Life Magazine have recognized Dr. Black as "Top Doctor" each year since both magazines began awarding the title in 1998. Dr. Black is the only North Shore OB/GYN doctor consistently recognized in this way.

Dr. Black is now focused on GYN patients who desire competent, concerned care for hormonal, menopausal, cancer, pelvic pain, and menstrual and surgical problems. Dr. Black is honored to continually provide compassionate care to GYN patients in the tri-parish area.
 

William Beacham, MD


  Obstetrician Gynecologists Hammond | Dr. Bill Beacham, M.D.   Born and raised in New Orleans, Dr. Bill Beacham graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and then did his Obstetric and Gynecologic residency training at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He then returned to Louisiana, where he has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 25 years at North Oaks OB/GYN. Dr. Beacham is the senior Obstetrician on Labor and Delivery and Chairman of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Department at North Oaks Health System. Dr. Beacham is also a past Chief of Staff of North Oaks Health System, as well as a long-term member of the Credentials Department. A Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Beacham is also a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Beacham has maintained his board certification by participating in yearly voluntary recertification over the last ten years. He is currently a Board Member of the Louisiana Maternal and Infant Coalition.

Dr. Beacham has been honored by his peers as one of the "Best OB/GYNs" by New Orleans Magazine. He has also been designated as "One of the Best Doctors in America" by the Best Doctors National Organization. His areas of interest include the treatment of Menopause, Geriatric Gynecology, Laparoscopic Gynecology Surgery, Contraception, and the full range of care for the pregnant woman.

Away from his medical practice, Dr. Beacham enjoys tennis, cycling, gardening, cooking, reading and watching movies with his teenage son.
